Scratch Nails, often marketed as Scratch of Sweden, is a prestige nail care brand founded by Marie Houston in 1985. Originally starting as one of Stockholm's first specialized nail salons at the Stockholm Plaza Hotel, the brand evolved into a full-scale product developer and training provider. The brand gained significant local fame in the early 1990s when its signature product, Nail Food®, was picked up by the Swedish state-owned pharmacy, Apoteket AB.

The Sparkle Deco & Top Coat line is part of their professional-grade collection, designed to be used both by salon therapists and consumers. The brand maintains a strong focus on high-quality, eco-friendly, and vegan-friendly formulas, avoiding common allergens and harsh chemicals like formaldehyde and toluene. Production is concentrated in Halmstad, Sweden, ensuring that the brand remains a truly Swedish entity from development to distribution. To this day, it remains a family-owned business led by the founder and her family.
