Founded in 1915 in the Spanish region of La Rioja, Victoria started with a shoemaker named Gregorio who created a canvas shoe named after his wife, Victoria. The brand gained immense popularity in Spain during the 1970s and 1980s, becoming an iconic symbol of Mediterranean casual style.

Today, the brand is owned and managed by Calzados Nuevo Milenio S.L., a company that specializes in sustainable and fashion-forward footwear. While the majority of Victoria's production remains in Spain—specifically within a 50km radius of its headquarters in Arnedo to reduce carbon footprint—the brand also utilizes manufacturing facilities in other countries like China and Turkey for specific specialized lines. The company remains a leader in eco-conscious fashion, using organic cotton and natural vulcanized rubber in many of its signature models.
