The Pop Shoppe is an iconic Canadian brand that first gained fame in the late 1960s. Originally founded in London, Ontario, in 1969 by Gary Shaw and Jack Grey, the company revolutionized the soft drink market with its unique business model of selling cases of multi-flavored sodas in refillable 'stubby' glass bottles directly from its own depots.

While the original company faced financial difficulties and ceased operations in 1983, the brand was revitalized in 2004 by Burlington entrepreneur Brian Alger. Today, the brand is fully owned by Beverage World Inc., a Canadian company based in Stoney Creek, Ontario, which acquired it in 2016. The soda is currently manufactured in Canada using cane sugar and is widely distributed across North America, maintaining its retro identity through its distinctive red-and-white striped labeling and classic glass bottle design.
