Strongbow British Dry Apple Cider

Strongbow is a world-renowned cider brand with a long history rooted in the United Kingdom. Originally launched in 1960 by H.P. Bulmer in Hereford, England, the brand was named after the Anglo-Norman knight Richard de Clare, nicknamed 'Strongbow'. Since its inception, it has grown to become the world's leading cider.

Today, the brand is owned by the Dutch brewing giant Heineken N.V., which acquired the global rights to the brand through various acquisitions, including the takeover of Scottish & Newcastle in 2008. While the bulk of production for the UK and many international markets still takes place at the historic Bulmer's plant in Hereford using British apples, Heineken manufactures Strongbow in at least 10 countries to meet global demand, including Belgium, Australia, and Malaysia. In Australia, the brand recently returned to local production under Heineken's subsidiary, Drinkworks, after a brief period of being produced offshore.
