SUNringlé bicycle components

SUNringlé is a prominent brand specializing in high-performance bicycle components, most notably alloy rims and wheelsets. The brand's history is rooted in the 1946 founding of Ken-Jen Metal Products in Warsaw, Indiana, which later became Sun Metal Products. Originally focused on wire-spoke wheels for various vehicles, the company transitioned into high-end bicycle rims during the 1980s. In 1997, it acquired Ringlé Racing Components, leading to the creation of the SUNringlé brand.

In 2005, Hayes Performance Systems acquired Sun Metal Products and integrated SUNringlé into its global portfolio. Today, while the company maintains engineering and some specialized facilities in the United States (such as Wheelsmith spoke production in Milwaukee), the majority of mass production for rims and wheelsets occurs in dedicated manufacturing plants in China to serve the global cycling market. The brand is known for its durability and innovation, particularly in mountain biking and fat bike categories.
