Ey' Bro is a popular Swedish light lager with a unique cultural origin. The brand's name is inspired by a viral video from 2001 featuring American rappers Eminem and Proof during their stay in Stockholm. In the clip, they attempt to pronounce 'Åbro' (the brewery name), which ends up sounding like 'Ey' bro.' Nearly two decades later, in 2020, Åbro Bryggeri officially launched the brand as a tribute to friendship and shared moments.

The beer is brewed by Åbro Bryggeri, Sweden's oldest family-owned brewery, which was founded in 1856. Located in Vimmerby, the brewery uses water from its own local source. The Dunge family has owned and operated the brewery since 1898, and it remains a fully independent Swedish company. While the brewery briefly joked about renaming the entire company to 'Ey' Bro' due to the beer's massive success, it continues to operate under its historic name, maintaining its status as a cornerstone of Swedish brewing heritage.
