G. Funder is a historic Danish brand founded in 1901 by Gunder Funder in Vejle, Denmark. Originally established as a rope and cordage manufacturer using horse-powered machinery, the company evolved over a century to become a major supplier of brushes, cleaning equipment, and household non-food items.

In 2014, the family-owned company was acquired by the Kolding-based trading company SAM PARTNER A/S. This acquisition aimed to modernize the brand's product range for supermarkets and DIY stores across Europe. Later, in 2017, the brand became part of the Lemvigh-Müller Group, Denmark's largest steel and technical wholesaler, although SAM PARTNER remains a key operational partner for the consumer non-food segment. While the brand is rooted in Danish history and its headquarters remain in Kolding, manufacturing for plastic household items like these clothespins is typically outsourced to production facilities in Asia, specifically China, to maintain competitive pricing.
