Jaecoo 7 SUV

Jaecoo is a premium automotive brand launched in 2023 by the Chinese state-owned manufacturer Chery Automobile. The brand name is a portmanteau of the German word 'Jäger' (hunter) and the English word 'cool,' reflecting its focus on outdoor adventure and modern style. Positioned as a more rugged and premium sibling to the Omoda brand, Jaecoo is specifically designed for international export markets and does not exist as a standalone brand within China.

The Jaecoo 7 (marketed in China as the Chery Tansuo 06) is the brand's flagship compact crossover. While the majority of production takes place in Chery's advanced manufacturing hubs in Wuhu and Dalian, China, the company has expanded its global footprint with local assembly plants in Malaysia (Shah Alam) and Indonesia. Chery has also established production capacity in Europe through a joint venture to utilize the former Nissan factory in Barcelona, Spain, to better serve Western markets.
