Tigre is a leading Brazilian multinational corporation specializing in solutions for the construction and water care industries. Founded in 1941 by João Hansen Júnior in Joinville, Santa Catarina, the company initially produced plastic combs and accessories before pioneering the manufacturing of PVC pipes and fittings in Brazil.

Today, Tigre operates globally with a manufacturing footprint that spans several countries, including Brazil, Argentina, Bolivia, Chile, Colombia, the United States, Paraguay, Peru, and Uruguay. In 2021, the company strengthened its North American presence by acquiring Dura Plastic Products. Ownership remains primarily with the founding Hansen family, although the private equity firm Advent International acquired a significant 25% minority stake in 2022 to support the group's global expansion and infrastructure projects.
