The Crunchy Mandel (Crunchy Almond) variety is a plant-based vegan chocolate containing roasted salted almonds and cornflakes. The brand remains entirely family-owned by Alfred Ritter GmbH & Co. KG. Most of its production is centralized at its historic headquarters in Waldenbuch, Germany. The company is also a pioneer in sustainability, operating its own cocoa plantation called 'El Cacao' in Nicaragua to secure high-quality, sustainable raw materials for its global chocolate distribution.
