Dr. Max Apteka

Dr. Max is a leading European pharmacy chain and private label brand that originated in the Czech Republic. Founded in 2004, the brand was established by the investment group Penta Investments after the acquisition of Česká lékárna holding. It has since grown into one of Europe's largest pharmaceutical retail networks, with a significant presence in countries like the Czech Republic, Slovakia, Poland, Romania, Serbia, and Italy.

In addition to its retail pharmacies, the group operates Dr. Max Pharma, its private label manufacturing arm. This division produces a wide range of healthcare products including over-the-counter (OTC) medicines, nutritional supplements, and dermocosmetics. While the brand is headquartered in Prague, its manufacturing is distributed across multiple European locations, including high-end laboratories in Poland and the Czech Republic, to serve its vast international network.
