Celorrio is a prominent Spanish brand specializing in canned and preserved fruits and vegetables. The brand's history dates back to the early 1960s when Ángel Celorrio, a farmer from Soria, identified a commercial need for local products in the La Rioja and Navarra regions. What started as a small-scale family operation grew significantly under the leadership of his son, Félix Celorrio, particularly during the 1980s when the company transitioned from simple commercialization to building its own manufacturing infrastructure.
While the company has deep roots in the Ebro valley—a region famous for its high-quality white asparagus—it has expanded its production footprint. Today, Grupo Celorrio operates several plants across Spain, including locations in Milagro (Navarra), Tauste, and Calahorra (La Rioja). To meet global demand and maintain competitive pricing, the group also maintains manufacturing facilities internationally, including in China, where certain ranges of their asparagus products are processed.
The brand is currently owned and managed by the Celorrio family, with the third generation actively involved in the business. Grupo Celorrio has evolved into a major player in the Spanish food industry, managing a diverse portfolio of brands such as Miau and El Encierro, and exporting its products to over 40 countries.
