Core Power is a line of high-protein milk shakes that originated from the innovation of fairlife, LLC. The brand was first developed under the name Athletes HoneyMilk by Select Milk Producers, a dairy cooperative based in Texas. It was officially rebranded as Core Power in 2012 when the company formed a strategic partnership with The Coca-Cola Company to utilize their massive distribution network.

The product is unique in the market because it is made from real ultra-filtered milk rather than reconstituted protein powders. This proprietary filtration process was pioneered by the founders, Mike and Sue McCloskey, specifically to increase the natural protein and calcium content while removing lactose and reducing sugar. This high-protein formula is designed primarily for post-workout recovery and muscle building.

In early 2020, The Coca-Cola Company completed its acquisition of the remaining stake in fairlife, LLC, bringing the brand entirely under its umbrella.
