Clipper English Organic Black Tea

Clipper is a pioneering British tea brand founded in 1984 by Mike and Lorraine Brehme in their kitchen in Dorset, England. The brand was established with a focus on ethical sourcing and natural production, famously starting with just two chests of high-quality Assam tea. In 1994, Clipper became the UK's first Fairtrade certified tea company and has since grown to become one of the world's largest buyers of Fairtrade tea.

Today, the brand's extensive range of over 150 products, including organic and decaffeinated varieties, is sold in more than 50 countries. All Clipper teas are blended and packaged at their factory in Beaminster, Dorset. The brand is known for its commitment to sustainability, having introduced the world's first plant-based, biodegradable, and unbleached tea bags in 2018.

Since 2012, Clipper has been owned by Ecotone (formerly known as Royal Wessanen), a leading European company specializing in organic and sustainable food products. While the brand remains deeply rooted in its British heritage, its ultimate corporate ownership is headquartered in France.
