Scrimaglio Nizza wine

Scrimaglio is a historic Italian winery rooted in the Piedmont region, specifically in Nizza Monferrato. The brand's history dates back to the 17th century with the arrival of the Escrimeaux family from France, but the modern winery was officially established in 1920 by Pietro Scrimaglio. The brand played a pivotal role in the 1980s during the revitalization of Barbera wines and was instrumental in the creation of the Nizza DOCG designation in 2014.

In 2017, the Scrimaglio brand was acquired by Terre da Vino, one of Piedmont's largest and most significant wine cooperatives. Today, Scrimaglio operates as a boutique label within the Terre da Vino group (also closely associated with the Vite Colte brand). Production remains concentrated in the heart of Piedmont, Italy, utilizing local vineyards to maintain the traditional style and regional authenticity that the Scrimaglio name has represented for over a century.
