Telia is a premier telecommunications provider with a deep historical footprint in Northern Europe. The brand traces its lineage back to 1853 with the establishment of Sweden's state telegraph agency, Kongl. Elektriska Telegraf-Verket (later known as Televerket). Over the decades, it evolved from a government monopoly into a pioneering digital powerhouse, famously launching the world's first commercial 4G LTE network in 2009. The modern entity, Telia Company AB, was solidified through the 2002 merger of Sweden's Telia and Finland's Sonera.

As of 2026, Telia continues to lead the Nordic and Baltic markets, offering integrated connectivity solutions including 5G mobile services, high-speed fiber broadband, and digital television.
