Cadbury Fingers are a quintessentially British snack, first introduced in their modern form in 1951, though their lineage traces back to biscuit assortments from 1897. These rod-shaped shortcake biscuits, famously coated in Cadbury's signature Dairy Milk chocolate, have become a staple in households across the UK and internationally.
While the Cadbury brand is globally synonymous with British confectionery, the production of Fingers has a unique history. Since 1986, they have been manufactured under license by Burton's Biscuit Company (now a Ferrero-affiliated company). Although Mondelēz International repurchased the brand rights in 2016 to regain full strategic control, the physical manufacturing continues at Burton's facilities in the United Kingdom, specifically at sites like Llantarnam in Wales.
Today, the brand is owned by the American multinational Mondelēz International, which acquired Cadbury in 2010. Despite this corporate ownership transition, the product remains deeply rooted in its British heritage, maintaining its position as one of the UK's most popular biscuit brands.
