Anna de Codorníu is one of the most iconic sparkling wines from the Penedès region in Catalonia, Spain. It is produced by the historic Raventós Codorníu group, a company with roots stretching back to 1551, making it one of the oldest family-owned enterprises in the world before its acquisition. The specific line, Anna de Codorníu, was launched in 1984 as a tribute to Anna Codorníu, the last heir to carry the family name, who married Miquel Raventós in 1659, uniting two prominent winemaking dynasties.

Traditionally associated with Spanish heritage, the brand underwent a significant ownership change in 2018 when the US-based private equity firm, The Carlyle Group, acquired a majority stake (approximately 68%) in the Raventós Codorníu group. As of early 2026, the company continues to operate under this ownership, although it remains deeply rooted in its historic headquarters in Sant Sadurní d'Anoia, where it produces millions of bottles annually following the traditional method (méthode traditionnelle) similar to Champagne.
