Hey Dude shoes

Hey Dude was founded in Italy in 2008 by Alessandro Rosano and Daniele Guidi. The brand was created with the vision of developing footwear that combines the lightweight comfort of a slipper with the style and durability of a standard shoe. Although it originated in Italy and often emphasizes its Italian design roots, the brand quickly established a major commercial presence in the United States, which became its primary market.

In early 2022, the brand was acquired by the American footwear giant Crocs, Inc. for approximately $2.5 billion. Following the acquisition, Hey Dude has operated as a standalone division under the Crocs umbrella. While the creative vision and initial prototypes were born in Italy, the manufacturing process is globalized. Today, Hey Dude shoes are primarily manufactured in China, Vietnam, and Indonesia to leverage specialized footwear production hubs and efficient supply chains.
