Klet Brda Merlot - Cabernet Sauvignon is a red blend produced in the Goriška Brda region of western Slovenia. The wine carries the PGI (Protected Geographical Indication) Primorska designation, signifying its specific regional heritage and adherence to quality standards. This particular variety is often packaged in 'bag-in-box' formats for efficiency and preservation, featuring grapes harvested by hand from terraced vineyards.

The Klet Brda winery, established in 1957, is a cooperative owned by approximately 400 local wine-growing families. Situated near the historic Dobrovo Castle, the winery is the largest producer and exporter of Slovenian wine. Because it is a cooperative, the ultimate ownership remains with the 400 local families who cultivate the 1,000 hectares of vineyards in the Brda district, maintaining a tradition that spans over six decades.
