Royal Crown Cola (RC Cola) soft drink

Founded in 1905 by pharmacist Claud A. Hatcher in Columbus, Georgia, Royal Crown Cola (widely known as RC Cola) is a historic American soft drink brand. The product depicted, featuring the 'Traditional Recipe' with cane sugar, pays homage to the original 1905 formulation. RC Cola has been a pioneer in the beverage industry, being the first to sell soft drinks in cans and introducing the first diet and caffeine-free colas.

Ownership of the brand is currently split between domestic and international entities. In the United States, the brand is owned by Keurig Dr Pepper, a major American beverage conglomerate formed from the 2018 merger of Keurig Green Mountain and Dr Pepper Snapple Group. Outside the US, the brand is managed by RC Global Beverages Inc. In 2022, Philippine-based Macay Holdings announced a significant acquisition of RC Global Beverages Inc. to handle international expansion.

Manufacturing of RC Cola occurs through a network of franchised and independent bottling plants across the globe, including significant production facilities in the United States, the Philippines, and various European countries. This distributed manufacturing model allows the brand to maintain a presence in over 60 countries worldwide while sourcing ingredients and labor locally within those regions.
