Gul&Blå is a legendary Swedish denim and fashion brand that played a pivotal role in the youth culture of the 1960s and 1970s. Founded in Stockholm in 1966 by Lars Knutsson and Martina Clason, the brand became famous for its trendy, tight-fitting jeans and innovative designs inspired by London's Carnaby Street. The name itself reflects the Swedish flag's colors and the original store's division into blue and yellow sections for men and women respectively.

While the brand faced several ownership changes and a period of dormancy during the late 1990s and 2000s, it was successfully relaunched in 2020 by a new investment group. This group includes prominent Swedish figures such as singer Charlotte Perrelli and businessman Anders Jensen.

Historically, Gul&Blå products were manufactured in Sweden at factories like Eson Konfektion in Vegby. However, as the brand expanded and modern supply chains evolved, production moved to various European and international locations. Modern collections are typically produced in countries like Portugal and Spain, which are known for high-quality textile manufacturing, while vintage items from different eras may carry labels from various origins.
