The brand's history is deeply connected to the Kavalierglass factory in the Czech Republic, which was established in 1837 by František Kavalír. This factory is recognized as the oldest technical glassworks in Europe.

The manufacturing process remains centered in the Czech Republic, specifically at the Kavalierglass facilities in Sázava. The glass produced under the Simax name is a 'Type 3.3' borosilicate glass, which meets rigorous international standards (ISO 3585) for safety and durability.
