Zacua electric vehicle

Zacua is Mexico's first domestic electric vehicle brand, established in 2017 with the mission of promoting sustainable urban mobility. The brand is notable for its commitment to social impact, particularly its assembly plant in Puebla, where vehicles are handcrafted primarily by women. The initial design and platform for its models, the MX2 and MX3, were developed in collaboration with the French manufacturer Automobiles Chatenet, while the electric powertrain and technology were engineered locally.

Owned by Motores Limpios S.A.P.I. de C.V., which is a subsidiary of the Mexican parking management conglomerate COPEMSA, Zacua represents a unique integration of automotive manufacturing and urban infrastructure. By 2026, the company continues to focus on localizing its supply chain, aiming for high percentages of Mexican-made components, and expanding its presence within the Latin American electric vehicle market.
