Moser Roth is a premium German chocolate brand that is currently produced exclusively for the Aldi supermarket chain. The brand's history dates back to 1841 when it was founded by pastry chef Wilhelm Roth Jr. in Stuttgart, Germany. Throughout the early 20th century, it operated one of the largest chocolate factories in the country until the facility was tragically destroyed during World War II.

Following several changes in ownership after the war, including periods under companies like Melitta, the Moser Roth brand name was eventually acquired by the August Storck Group. Since 2007, Storck has revitalized the name, manufacturing these high-quality chocolates specifically for Aldi stores worldwide. The production is primarily centered at the Moser Roth GmbH factory located in the Reinickendorf district of Berlin. Although it is a private label for Aldi, the brand maintains a reputation for luxury quality, often using sustainably sourced cocoa and traditional recipes.
