Lyttos Ouzo

Lyttos Ouzo is an anise-flavored aperitif widely recognized as a private-label brand produced specifically for the German discount retailer Lidl. While the product is officially manufactured in Greece to maintain its Protected Designation of Origin (PDO) status—which ensures that only Ouzo produced in Greece and Cyprus can carry the name—the brand itself is managed and distributed through Lidl's international supply chain.

The distribution and bottling for certain markets are handled by companies like Rola GmbH & Co. KG, a major German spirits producer based in Rottenburg an der Laaber. However, the ultimate ownership of the Lyttos brand lies with the Schwarz Group, the parent company of Lidl and Kaufland. This structural arrangement allows for traditional Greek production methods to be combined with the large-scale retail logistics of one of the world's largest supermarket groups.
