Ebro is an iconic Spanish automotive brand that has recently undergone a major revival. Originally founded in 1954 by Motor Ibérica S.A. in Barcelona, the brand's name was inspired by the Ebro River. During the mid-20th century, it became a pillar of Spanish industry, producing popular trucks, tractors, and vans under license from Ford and later through partnerships with Massey Ferguson.

After falling under the control of Nissan in the 1980s, the Ebro brand was gradually phased out and remained dormant for over thirty years. However, in 2023, the brand was resurrected through a strategic joint venture between the Spanish company EV Motors and the Chinese automotive giant Chery.

Today, Ebro focuses on modern, sustainable mobility, producing a new generation of SUVs and electric pickups. Manufacturing is centered at the historic Zona Franca plant in Barcelona—the same facility where the brand originally thrived. As of 2026, the brand has successfully re-entered the European market with models like the S700 and S800, emphasizing hybrid and electric powertrains as part of Spain's industrial renewal.
