Inoxcrom writing instruments

Inoxcrom is a historic Spanish brand specialized in the manufacture of high-quality writing instruments, including ballpoint pens, fountain pens, and rollerballs. Founded in Barcelona in 1942 by Manuel Vaqué Ferrandis, the company originally began as a workshop producing stainless steel nibs, eventually expanding to complete pen production under the trademarked name Inoxcrom—a portmanteau of 'inoxidable' (stainless) and 'cromo' (chrome).

Throughout the 20th century, Inoxcrom became an iconic brand in Spain and internationally, known for its durable and reasonably priced products. However, after the death of its founder and subsequent financial challenges, the company entered insolvency in 2009. The brand's legacy was preserved by its workers who formed a cooperative called Inoxgrup in 2012 to continue manufacturing in Spain. In the 2020s, the brand transitioned to a new commercial structure where the exclusive worldwide distribution is managed by Insight Hunters S.L., while production maintains its roots in Barcelona to ensure the technical standards and 'Made in Spain' quality the brand is famous for.
