The history of the brand dates back to 1931 when it was founded by Greek brothers Jean and Michael Karavokyros in Finland. Originally starting with the production of halva—a sesame-based treat from their heritage—the company expanded into licorice production in the early 1950s. Today, it remains a family-owned enterprise, currently managed by the third generation of the Karavokyros family. All of their licorice products are manufactured at their facility in Pitäjänmäki, Helsinki, ensuring authentic Finnish quality and craftsmanship.
