Over the decades, the brand became an iconic fixture in German households, particularly known for its "Ostmannturm" landmark in Bielefeld. While it was family-owned for three generations, it underwent corporate transitions in the 1990s and was eventually acquired in 1998 by the Fuchs Group (Fuchs Gewürze GmbH). Today, Ostmann continues to be produced in Germany, specifically in Dissen am Teutoburger Wald, under the stewardship of the Fuchs Group, which is Germany's largest spice producer and one of the global leaders in the industry.
