Far Far West video game

Far Far West is a cooperative first-person shooter (FPS) set in a stylized, sci-fi western world featuring robot cowboys and mystical elements. Developed by the French indie studio Evil Raptor and published by Fireshine Games, the title officially entered Early Access on April 28, 2026. The game focuses on a mission-based loop where players take on contracts, explore open-world maps on horseback, battle supernatural creatures with a mix of firearms and magic spells, and extract via a hover train.

The development of Far Far West was handled by a small eight-person team in France, following their previous success with the 3D platformers Pumpkin Jack and Akimbot. The studio leaned into the western theme after identifying it as an underserved genre on Steam compared to saturated sci-fi or pirate settings. Since its demo debut during Steam Next Fest, the game has received critical acclaim for its polished gunplay, creative boss fights, and comedic tone. It remains owned by its original creators at Evil Raptor, with international publishing support provided by the UK-based Fireshine Games.
