Franz Haas Sofi Rosso is a distinguished red wine produced by the Franz Haas winery, located in the Montagna area of the Alto Adige region in Northern Italy. This specific labels, 'Sofi', is named after Sofia Haas, the daughter of the current generation's proprietor, and features artwork she created as a child. The wine is typically a blend dominated by Lagrein with a smaller portion of Merlot, reflecting the cool-climate viticulture of the Vigneti delle Dolomiti IGT.

The winery was founded in 1880 and has been passed down through seven generations, traditionallly spearheaded by a first-born son named Franz. Known for their high-altitude vineyards—some reaching up to 1,150 meters to combat climate change—the estate is highly regarded for its precision and the artistic flair of its labels, many of which were designed by Riccardo Schweizer, a contemporary of Picasso.
