Eat Real Hummus Chips

Eat Real is a popular UK-based snack brand that specializes in 'better-for-you' alternatives to traditional potato chips. The brand was founded in 2014 as part of the Cofresh snack group, which was established by the Patel family. The inspiration for the brand dates back to the 1960s in Nairobi, Kenya, before founder Dinesh Patel relocated the business to Leicester, England, in the 1970s.

In 2020, the brand underwent a significant ownership change when the private equity firm Exponent acquired Cofresh and incorporated it into its Vibrant Foods platform. Shortly after, in 2021, Eat Real was merged with the snack brand Proper to create a leading group in the healthy snacking market. The products are primarily manufactured in the United Kingdom, utilizing ingredients like chickpeas, lentils, and quinoa to create their signature vegan and gluten-free snack ranges.
