Sensodyne is a globally recognized oral care brand specialized in desensitizing toothpastes for people with sensitive teeth. It was originally launched in 1961 by the Block Drug Company in Brooklyn, New York. The brand's history is marked by significant corporate acquisitions, first becoming a part of GlaxoSmithKline (GSK) in 2000, and subsequently transitioning to Haleon plc following the July 2022 demerger of GSK's consumer healthcare division.

While Sensodyne was traditionally manufactured in various specialized sites including the UK, Haleon announced strategic supply chain shifts in 2024 to optimize its global network. This included the planned closure of its UK manufacturing facility in Maidenhead and the transfer of toothpaste production for the European market to its hub in Slovakia. Consequently, while the brand remains British-headquartered, the physical manufacturing of continental and UK products is primarily centered in Slovakia as of 2026.
