Velvet is a leading hygiene brand in Central and Eastern Europe, with a history spanning over 120 years. The brand's primary manufacturing hub is located in Klucze, Poland, a site with a long-standing tradition in paper production dating back to 1897. The Velvet brand itself was officially launched in 1997 to introduce premium-quality tissue products to the Polish market.

Historically, the brand was developed under the ownership of major American corporations International Paper and later Kimberly-Clark. In 2013, the company gained independence through a management buyout, leading to the formation of Velvet CARE. Since March 2024, the brand has been owned by Partners Group, a global private markets firm headquartered in Switzerland, which acquired the group to drive international expansion and maintain its leadership in sustainable hygiene solutions.
