Flashscore is a globally recognized sports data platform and mobile application that provides real-time scores, statistics, and news for over 35 sports. The brand's journey began in 2006 in the Czech Republic, where it was established by Martin Hájek and Jiří Mareš as a local project to provide football results. It quickly evolved into a international powerhouse, becoming the flagship brand of the technology company Livesport.
The development and maintenance of the application primarily take place at Livesport's headquarters in Prague, Czech Republic. Over the years, Flashscore has undergone significant growth, expanding its reach to more than 50 countries and reaching hundreds of millions of monthly users. In 2024, the parent company Livesport made its largest acquisition to date by purchasing the Spanish football platform BeSoccer, further solidifying Flashscore's dominance in the global sports media market.
Today, Flashscore remains under the ultimate ownership of its founders through Livesport. While it operates specialized local versions in various countries (such as Flashscore.co.uk in the United Kingdom or Flashscore.pl in Poland) to cater to regional sports fans, the core technological infrastructure and brand direction are managed from the Czech Republic.
