Weinsberg recreational vehicles

Weinsberg is a historic German brand specializing in the manufacture of recreational vehicles, including motorhomes, caravans, and camper vans. The brand's journey began in 1912 when Gustav Alt and Wilhelm Schuhmacher founded Karosseriewerke Weinsberg in Baden-Württemberg as a coachbuilding factory. After decades of automotive collaboration, including a period of ownership by Fiat, the brand pivoted to the motorhome sector in 1969 with a model based on the Fiat 238.

In 1992, the Weinsberg recreational vehicle division was acquired by Tabbert Industrie AG, which eventually led to its integration into the Knaus Tabbert group. Today, Weinsberg is positioned as a key brand within Knaus Tabbert AG, known for its high price-performance ratio and modern designs like the CaraBus and CaraHome series. Manufacturing is concentrated at modern facilities in Jandelsbrunn, Germany, and Nagyoroszi, Hungary, ensuring a blend of traditional German engineering and efficient European production.
