Weetabix is an iconic British breakfast staple, recognized as the United Kingdom's top-selling cereal. The product's history traces back to a recipe originally developed in Australia in the 1920s known as Weet-Bix. The British iteration, Weetabix, was officially established in 1932 when the British & African Cereal Company Ltd was formed in Northamptonshire.

Today, the flagship biscuits are manufactured at a major 75-acre facility in Burton Latimer, Kettering, which produces millions of biscuits weekly using wheat sourced within a 50-mile radius of the factory. While the brand has global reach with manufacturing in North America (Canada) and exports to over 80 countries, the core operations remains deeply rooted in the UK.

Ownership has transitioned several times: it was family-owned for 70 years before being acquired by private equity firms and later the Chinese state-run Bright Food in 2012. Since 2017, the brand has been owned by the American consumer goods giant Post Holdings, making it part of one of the largest cereal portfolios in the world.
