Vionic is a global footwear brand renowned for integrating podiatrist-designed technology into stylish, everyday shoes. The brand's journey began in 1979 in Australia, founded by renowned podiatrist Phillip Vasyli. Seeking to provide affordable orthotic solutions, Vasyli developed the Orthaheel technology, which remains the cornerstone of the brand's success. The company eventually relocated its headquarters to Northern California (San Rafael and Novato) to expand its international reach.

In 2018, the brand underwent a significant corporate shift when it was acquired by Caleres, a major American footwear retailer and wholesaler based in St. Louis, Missouri. Under the ownership of Caleres, Vionic has continued to expand its market presence globally. Most of the brand's manufacturing occurs in specialized facilities in China and Taiwan, leveraging high-tech production capabilities to integrate its proprietary biomechanical footbeds into various footwear silhouettes, including sandals, sneakers, and dress shoes.
