Corsodyl mouthwash and oral care

Corsodyl is a world-renowned oral health brand specializing in the treatment and prevention of gum disease (gingivitis). The brand was originally launched in 1975 by Imperial Chemical Industries (ICI) in Germany as a specialized antiseptic mouthwash containing chlorhexidine digluconate. In 1993, the brand was acquired by SmithKline Beecham, which later merged with Glaxo to become GlaxoSmithKline (GSK).

In 2022, following a significant strategic demerger of GSK's consumer healthcare division, Corsodyl became part of the portfolio of Haleon plc, a standalone global leader in consumer health. While the brand has its roots in the United Kingdom and Germany, its products are now manufactured in multiple strategic locations across Europe, including Poland and Slovakia, to serve its global market. Today, the brand encompasses a wide range of products including medicated mouthwashes, intensive treatment gels, and daily gum care toothpastes.
