Nevanac eye drop suspension

Nevanac is a specialized ophthalmic suspension containing nepafenac, a non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drug (NSAID) used to treat eye pain and inflammation following cataract surgery. The brand was originally developed by Alcon, a company with deep roots in Fort Worth, Texas, USA. For much of its history, Alcon operated as a subsidiary of Nestlé before being fully acquired by the Swiss pharmaceutical giant Novartis in 2011.

In recent years, the ownership landscape of Nevanac has evolved according to geographic markets. In the United States, the commercial rights to Nevanac were acquired by Harrow, Inc. (formerly Harrow Health) from Novartis in 2023. However, internationally and within the European market (where the pictured packaging originates), the brand remains under the umbrella of Novartis.
