Scotch & Soda is a premium fashion brand that originated in Amsterdam, Netherlands. Since its founding in 1985, it has grown from a men's wholesale label into a global lifestyle brand offering apparel, accessories, and fragrances. The brand is celebrated for its 'Born in Amsterdam' aesthetic, which blends classic styles with bold colors, unexpected textures, and intricate details.

While the brand maintains its creative roots and primary design studio in Amsterdam, its manufacturing is decentralized. Production occurs across a global network of partners in approximately 12 to 14 countries, with major manufacturing hubs located in China, India, Turkey, and Bangladesh. This diverse supply chain allows the brand to source specific expertise for different garment categories, such as denim, knitwear, and leather goods.

Following a period of financial restructuring, Scotch & Soda was acquired in early 2023 by Bluestar Alliance, a leading American brand management firm. This acquisition helped stabilize the brand's international operations and provided a platform for continued global expansion into the late 2020s. Despite changes in corporate ownership, the brand remains committed to its Dutch heritage and its focus on sustainability and detail-driven design.
