Gillette is an iconic American brand that has been a leader in the grooming industry for over a century. Founded in 1901 by King C. Gillette in Boston, Massachusetts, the company revolutionized personal care with the invention of the disposable safety razor. The brand's early focus on precision engineering allowed it to expand globally very quickly, establishing international plants as early as 1905.

Today, Gillette is owned by the multinational consumer goods giant Procter & Gamble (P&G), following a historic merger in 2005. While its "World Shaving Headquarters" and primary research and development remain based in South Boston, manufacturing is a highly globalized operation. High-performance blades and premium razors are primarily produced in Boston, USA, and Berlin, Germany. Other significant manufacturing facilities are located in Łódź (Poland), China, Brazil, Mexico, and India to serve regional markets with specialized grooming solutions.
