Léo (Milka) chocolate bar

Léo is a well-known chocolate-covered wafer snack that is primarily associated with the Belgian market. Originally created in Belgium, it has become a regional staple, often compared to the KitKat due to its light, crunchy wafer layers and smooth milk chocolate coating.

For many years, Léo has been marketed under the Milka brand umbrella, which itself has a storied history starting in Switzerland in 1901. In the early 1990s, the brand was acquired by Kraft Foods as part of the Jacobs Suchard acquisition. Following the corporate split of Kraft Foods in 2012, Léo and the Milka brand became part of Mondelēz International, an American multinational food conglomerate. Despite its American corporate ownership, Léo maintains its strong Belgian identity, with dedicated production facilities located in Belgium to serve the European market.
