Pato toilet cleaner

Pato is a widely recognized brand of toilet cleaning products, famous for its innovative 'duck-neck' bottle design. The brand's history began in Switzerland in 1980, when Walter Düring developed a curved bottle neck that allowed users to easily apply disinfectant under the rim of the toilet bowl. This design was patented and launched under the name 'WC Ente' (Toilet Duck) in 1981.

The brand's success led to its expansion across Europe and North America through various licensing and distribution agreements. In 1992, the American multinational S.C. Johnson & Son acquired the brand from the Düring family. Today, the product is sold globally under several regional names, including 'Duck' in the UK and USA, 'Canard-WC' in France, and 'Pato' in Spanish and Portuguese-speaking markets like Mexico, Spain, and Brazil. Manufacturing occurs in multiple locations worldwide to serve these different markets locally.
