Wiha Insulated Screwdriver

Wiha is a globally recognized manufacturer of high-quality hand tools, particularly famous for its professional-grade screwdrivers. Founded in 1939 by Willi Hahn in Wuppertal, Germany, the company initially focused on the production of nuts and bolts. The brand name itself is a portmanteau of the founder's initials (Willi Hahn). Following the relocation of its headquarters to Schonach in the Black Forest during World War II, Wiha pivoted to tool manufacturing, launching its first screwdrivers in 1947.

Today, Wiha remains a third-generation family-owned business led by the Hahn family. While the engineering and high-end manufacturing of core products—such as the insulated VDE-certified screwdrivers—are primarily centered in Germany, the company has expanded its production footprint to include facilities in Poland, Switzerland, Vietnam, and more recently, specialized assembly lines in the United States. Their insulated tools are a staple for electricians worldwide, known for being individually tested at 10,000V AC to ensure safety in high-voltage environments.
