Originally created by the Japanese company Ezaki Glico, the snack was introduced to the European market through a unique long-standing partnership with European food companies. In Europe, the product is manufactured and distributed under license from Ezaki Glico.

Today, production is centered at the Mondelēz International factory in Cestas, France. While the brand concept remains rooted in its Japanese heritage, it is managed by Mondelēz International for the European market, blending Japanese snack innovation with local manufacturing expertise.
