Envy apple

Envy is a premium trademarked apple variety (scientifically known as Scilate), which was developed in New Zealand. It is a cross between the Royal Gala and Braeburn varieties, known for its sweet flavor, crunchy texture, and white flesh that is slow to brown after being cut.

The Envy brand is owned and commercialized globally by T&G Global (formerly Enza), a New Zealand-based company. Because it is a global brand, it is grown under license in various countries to ensure year-round availability. Primary production regions include New Zealand, the United States (specifically Washington state), Chile, Australia, and European countries like Spain (specifically in the Soria region), Italy, and France. In Spain, the apples are often grown at high altitudes to enhance their sweetness and crunch.
