Décor is an iconic Australian brand with a rich history dating back to 1958, when it was founded in Melbourne by Brian Davis. Originally starting with a single desk in a bedroom, the company grew into a household name famous for its functional and award-winning plastic homewares, including the world-renowned insulated wine chiller. Today, it remains a leader in the lunch, hydration, and food storage categories, maintaining a strong design and manufacturing presence in Australia.

While approximately 80% of Décor’s broader product range is still manufactured locally in Australia, many of the newer hydration lines and complex drink bottles like the HydroFit series are primarily manufactured in China to leverage specialized production techniques for materials like Tritan™ and vacuum-insulated stainless steel. The brand prides itself on its 'Australian-designed' heritage and its continued partnership with the Australian Made campaign for its core plastic container lines.

Ownership of the brand has transitioned from its founder to private equity groups in recent years. After being sold in 2013, the Décor Corporation was acquired by Marlin Brands (managed by Marlin Management Services) in 2017. As of 2026, the ultimate ownership is held through a joint venture between the American asset management firm Oaktree Capital Management and the Australian investment group Alceon Group.
