Sertralina Teva is a generic pharmaceutical product containing sertraline hydrochloride, a selective serotonin reuptake inhibitor (SSRI) used primarily to treat depression and anxiety disorders. The brand Teva has its historical roots in Jerusalem, where it was founded in 1901 as a small drug distribution business by Chaim Salomon, Moshe Levin, and Yitschak Elstein. Over the following decades, the company evolved and eventually took the name Teva Pharmaceutical Industries Ltd. in 1976 following a major merger.
